My ‘Causes’ Motto: If You Care, Do Something!

I give to Kiva. We all should give, to something. Give not just because it makes you feel good–it should. But from a more profound sense of collective responsibility that we all share, part of that is a common bond as occupants of this rare place call Earth. As an avid proponent of the free-market system (there is no ‘true’ version, by the way), one of the unshakeable realities is that we will have HAVEs and HAVE-NOTs. If you want to be a bit of a Pollyanna about it, let’s go with HAVE-LESSes. I do not remember what brought me to Kiva, but I remember what kept me there. I saw so many women who looked like the ones I grew up among. The faces all seemed very familiar, and the need all too real. I do specialize in my giving and have a couple of Pointers for Kiva too.
